महामृत्युंजय मंत्र हा एक धार्मिक मंत्र आहे ज्याला "रुद्र मंत्र" असेही म्हणतात.  रुद्र हे भगवान त्र्यंबकेश्वर (भगवान शिव) यांचे उग्र रूप आहे. "महामृत्युंजय" हा शब्द म्हणजे महा (महान), मृत्यू (मृत्यू) आणि जया (विजय) या तीन शब्दांचे मिश्रण आहे, ज्याचा अर्थ मृत्यूवर विजय असा होतो.

त्रिपिंडी श्रद्धा पूजा म्हणजे काय?

  त्रिपिंडी श्राद्ध पूजा ही श्री त्र्यंबकेश्वर शहरात केली जाणारी महत्त्वाची पूजा आहे. त्रिपिंडी श्राद्ध म्हणजे तीन पिढ्यांच्या पूर्वजांचे विधीवत श्राद्ध. या तीन पिढ्यांमध्ये वंशावळी, मातृसत्ताक, गुरुवंश किंवा सासरच्या कुळातील व्यक्तीने नियमाप्रमाणे श्राद्ध केले नसेल तर त्रिपिंडी श्राद्ध केल्याने त्याला मोक्ष प्राप्त होतो. त्रिपिंडी श्राद्ध पूजा न केल्यास व्यक्तीला पितृदोषाचा त्रास होतो. पितृदोषात कुटुंबातील मृत सदस्य आपल्या वंशजांना शाप देतात, ज्याला पितृ शाप असेही म्हणतात.

पांढरे कपडे घालून पूजा केली जाते पुरुषांनी पांढरा कुर्ता आणि धोतर आणि महिलांनी पांढऱ्या साड्या नेसल्या पाहिजेत.

पूजेनंतर पूजेचे कपडे तिथेच सोडून सोबत घेऊ नयेत.

कालसर्प पूजेच्या दिवशी कांदा आणि लसूण घालून बनवलेले पदार्थ खाऊ नका.

पूजेच्या दिवसापासून 41 दिवस मांसाहार किंवा अल्कोहोलचे सेवन करू नये

कालसर्प योग शांती पूजेचा विधी पुढीलप्रमाणे आहे.

कालसर्प योग शांती पूजा एकटीच करता येते, पण जर तुम्ही गरोदर स्त्री असाल तर ही पूजा एकटी करू नये.

याशिवाय पीडित मुलगी जर लहान असेल तर त्यांचे आई-वडीलही जोडीने ही पूजा करू शकतात.

पवित्र कुशावर्त तीर्थावर स्नान केल्यानंतर पूजेसाठी नवीन वस्त्र धारण करावे.

पुरुषांसाठी धोतर, कुर्ता तसेच महिलांसाठी पांढरी साडी हवीच.

प्रथम श्रीगणेशाची पूजा करणे आवश्यक आहे कारण तो सर्वशक्तिमान देव आहे.

नागमंडलाची पूजा केल्यानेच कालसर्प योगाची शांती सिद्ध होते. नागमंडल तयार करण्यासाठी द्वादश (१२) नागांच्या मूर्ती आवश्यक आहेत.

या १२ नागमूर्तींपैकी दहा नागांच्या मूर्ती चांदीच्या, एका नागाची मूर्ती सोन्याची तर एका नागाची मूर्ती तांब्याची असणे आवश्यक आहे.
